Chocolate Cake

Yay, finally a new recipe! 🙌 With the holidays just around the corner, I thought it would be fun to tackle the most important part of the holiday menu: dessert! So here’s a super delicious chocolate cake: easy to make, quick to whip up, and it even has vegetables mixed right in. But don’t worry—you definitely won’t taste them! 😉

With its crispy crust, rich chocolate filling, and the fresh touch of fruit on top, this chocolate cake is a real treat. Bring on the holidays!

Ingredients:

For the crust:

  • 100 g rolled oats
  • 40 g almond flour
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • ½ tsp salt
  • 3 tbsp coconut oil
  • 3 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 tbsp maple syrup

For the filling:

  • 100 g cauliflower
  • 100 g Greek yogurt
  • 3 tbsp cocoa powder
  • 2 tablespoons of hazelnut spread
  • 4 tbsp maple syrup
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 5 figs
  • 40 g chocolate

Topping:

  • Raspberries
  • Strawberries
  • Blackberries
  • Blueberries
  • A few mint leaves

Supplies:

  • Oven
  • Cake pan (22 cm)
  • Blender/mixer

Preparation:

  1. Preheat the oven to 170°C and line a cake pan with parchment paper.
  2. Mix the rolled oats, almond flour, salt, and cinnamon in a bowl.
  3. Melt the coconut oil in a small saucepan and add it.
  4. Add the vanilla extract and maple syrup.
  5. Mix everything together well and pour the mixture into the cake pan.
  6. Spread the mixture over the cake pan and press it down with your hands.
  7. Bake in the oven for 15 minutes.
  8. Meanwhile, prepare the filling. Cut the cauliflower into florets and put them in the blender.
  9. Add the Greek yogurt, cocoa powder, hazelnut spread, maple syrup, and vanilla extract.
  10. Cut the dried figs and the chocolate into smaller pieces and add them to the blender.
  11. Blend until smooth.
  12. Remove the cake crust from the oven. Let it cool for a moment before taking it out of the cake pan. If you want to continue working right away, leave it in the pan and proceed as usual.
  13. Spread the filling over the pie crust.
  14. Generously top the dish with the toppings. Alternate the different colors for an especially attractive result.

Enjoy your meal!
