Quick appetizer with sumac, lamb's lettuce, and hard-boiled eggs

This is a sunny, light, and refreshing appetizer that doesn’t take much time or effort to make. You only need a few ingredients, but each one adds its own unique flavor to the dish. This way, you can create a very flavorful and surprising dish in a minimalist way. This dish is the perfect way to kick off a fun get-together with friends, but it also makes for a delicious snack. Enjoy!

The Recipe

Ingredients: (serves 2)

  • 3 eggs
  • 6 leaves of lamb's lettuce
  • 3 tsp sumac
  • 1 lemon
  • Fleur de sel

Preparation: (15 minutes)

  1. Bring water to a boil and boil theeggsfor 9 minutes. 
  2. In the meantime, wash thelettuce leavesand cut them in half. 
  3. Peel the eggs and cut them into 4 pieces. 
  4. Divide ¼ teaspoon ofsumacamong the eggs. 
  5. Arrange thelettuce leavesattractively on a plate or platter. Place the egg pieces with sumac on top of the lettuce. 
  6. Drizzle thelemonjuice over it (to taste) and sprinkle a little fleur de sel on top. 
  7. Putting about half a lemon slice in between always looks really pretty, too!

You can use up any leftover lamb's lettuce in countless delicious ways. For example, you can make these lettuce boats with it. This acai puree with beet and parsnip is also topped with a bit of extra lettuce, and in this vegetable dish with apricot, potato, and goat cheese, it will really shine.
