Perfect for the season: December

It snowed today, and yesterday, too. December couldn’t have gotten off to a better start. Just last week, I was thinking about how incredibly nice it would be if it snowed again this year. So I was really happy when I was sitting by the window studying yesterday and suddenly saw the first snowflakes swirling down from the sky. It’s such a beautiful example of how the seemingly simple things can make us so intensely happy. 

That feeling of walking outthe door, wearing a thick coat and bursting with excitement.
Out into the world.
Then looking up, closing your eyes, and feeling the cold snowflakes melt on your face.
That feeling of freedom—being able to put your plans aside for a moment and hear the whisper of nature lovingly inviting you to go outside.
I strolled through the streets of Bruges’ ancient historic center.
Slowly but surely, the snowflakes piled up, forming a white blanket that enveloped the landscape.
Nature took the lead for a moment and whispered: if you go with the flow of life, everything you desire will come your way.
All opportunities will be presented to you.
All you have to do is say “yes” to life.
Everything is always working out for you.

Where spontaneity triumphs over calculation, happiness waits patiently.
With the confidence that everything in life always happens at exactly the right moment.
