The Most Beautiful Spot in Luxembourg

The Most Beautiful Spot in Luxembourg

A month ago, I was surrounded by the beautiful natural scenery of Germany and Luxembourg. That meant lovely walks, challenging hikes, breathtaking views, and visits to charming little towns. 😉 I tried to film the most beautiful spots and the most impressive natural wonders from each walk. With this video, I can also share with you a glimpse of all the splendor that nature has to offer.

In this post, you’ll find some photos to give you a feel for the area, a description of each hike, and a map showing the hiking route. To choose our routes, we used theOutdoorActiveapp. You simply enter the name of the place you want to visit, and the app shows you the hiking trails that run in or through that region. I definitely recommend it! The maps you see below are screenshots from the app. I’ll also include the name of each hike so you can easily find them if you want to try them yourself.

  • Consdorf Hike (9 km)

This challenging hike showcases all the different facets of what a forest can be. Whether you’re walking through a narrow passage between the rocks or enjoying the panoramic view of the woods, you’ll fall in love with the beauty of nature. The sound of the babbling stream, which runs alongside the trail in several places, adds variety to this quiet oasis.

  • Lac d’Echternach Hike (7 km)

This hike offers the perfect mix of water, forest, and stunning views. For much of the way, you’ll walk through a beautiful forest, and at the end, you’ll complete a loop around Lake Echternach. Somewhere along the way, you’ll want to stop several times at a clearing on the edge of the forest, which offers a magnificent view of Echternach from above.

  • Castle Beaufort Castle

The ruins of Beaufort Castle are definitely worth a visit to add some variety to your forest walks. The castle dates back to the Middle Ages and still stands today. I always find it remarkable that old buildings like this have lasted so long and have weathered so many different periods of history.

In any case, it’s a lovely outing that can easily fill half a day. From the windows, you once again have a stunning view of the wooded surroundings. You’ll have to climb a few stairs to get there, but it’s definitely worth it. Dogs (preferably ones that aren’t afraid of heights ☺) are also welcome.

This was the last blog post about my vacation. I hope you enjoyed the beautiful nature as much as I did. I hope the photos let you daydream for a moment amid this busy world—and maybe even inspired you to get out and explore more often yourself. In any case, I wish you all the best, and I’ll be back next week with lots of delicious recipes.

You’re not only talented at cooking, but you also have a knack for capturing stunning landscape photography. I also really enjoy the hikes (not too long, not too short). Very nice video, too.
The only thing is, Germany isn’t really my cup of tea, since, as a 100% vegan, it’s not exactly the best country for enjoying delicious, animal-friendly food.

    Best regards,
    Marc
