Morning Yoga

As you probably already know, I like to start my day with yoga. It’s often one of the first things I do when I get up. I step onto my mat, put on a YouTube video, and join in. By the way, I really love that this way, during those first few minutes of my day, I don’t have to think for myself and can just follow the instructions. 😉 Depending on how much time I have and how energetic I feel when I wake up, my yoga session ranges from a quick 10-minute stretch to a full 20-minute yoga flow. In this post, I’m sharing a list of my 5 favorite yoga classes right now. The classes are accessible to all levels and can be integrated into any schedule. By taking a few minutes for yourself in the morning, you’ll feel better for the rest of the day. I promise!
1.
This class is truly one of my absolute favorites, and I take it at least twice a week. It’s a great combination of stretching and movement—not too intense, but not too slow either. It’s the perfect pace if you don’t feel fit enough yet to really work out, but you do have enough energy to get annoyed by a yoga class that’s too slow. This class lasts 15 minutes.
2.
This video is perfect if you think your alarm went off 3 hours too early and you’re still really tired. Instead of dragging yourself through the day and drinking liters of coffee or something like that, why not give this yoga class a try? The exercises are very simple and easy to do, and you’ll feel a lot more refreshed afterward.
3.
This is the perfect class if you want to get some exercise in first thing in the morning—for example, if you have a busy day ahead where you’ll be sitting a lot and feeling stressed. This class might take a little more courage to get started, but it’s more than worth it. Afterward, you’ll feel the energy flowing through your body.
4.
Starting your day with a sun salutation is one of the most productive things you can do when you don’t feel well-rested at all and have just stumbled out of bed half-asleep to turn off your alarm. Instead of tackling all your to-dos while still half-asleep, you’re better off taking 15 minutes to wake yourself up with this class. Don’t hesitate—just do it! 😉 You won’t regret it.
5.
This yoga class lasts 10 minutes and is a great way to start your day in a calm and relaxing way. 10 minutes isn't long, but I still find that I'm much more relaxed throughout the day when I've done this class.
There you go—that was my list. If you have any recommendations of your own, feel free to let me know in the comments below this post.
