Chocolate Smoothie

Chocolate Smoothie

Banana, peanuts, and chocolate… Do I really need to say more to convince you? Always use the unsweetened and unheated version of cocoa powder so you can benefit from the full range of nutrients it has to offer. For example, cocoa powder is rich in antioxidants and magnesium. Magnesium is found in the highest concentration in our cells after potassium. There, it contributes to more than 300 enzymatic reactions, including the release of energy within the cells. Magnesium is important for the proper functioning of the heart muscle and helps boost your resilience to stress. Cocoa powder also contains high levels of copper and iron. Copper is a component of various enzymes necessary for blood clotting, oxygen transport to cells, and the formation of bones and connective tissue. Copper also promotes iron absorption. Iron is an important building block for hemoglobin, which is responsible for transporting oxygen.
