DIY Student Snack – A Healthy Snack While Studying

I’m not the kind of person who often looks back at old photos. What I do, though, is occasionally browse through the photos from exactly a year ago. I always enjoy seeing what the version of myself from a year ago was up to. And that’s how I discovered that exactly one year ago today—I think it was June 8—I had my official last class of high school, which marked the start of the academic highlight of the year: exams. I could tell that from a photo of a handwritten exam schedule and the countless notes on math, physics, and so on.
Fast forward to a year later—I’ve already taken five exams, and I’m still studying for the last few. So I’m already in the exam mindset, which is why I thought it would be a good idea to share my recipe for homemade student muesli with you.

In the photo of the dish, this incredibly delicious study snack is fittingly accompanied by a few physics books that once belonged to my great-grandfather and a sheet of my handwritten math notes. Yes, they didn’t end up on the bonfire after all—and as it turns out, they’ve even served a useful purpose in my life. 😉
I think this is a great snack to have while studying. It’s tasty yet healthy, keeps you full for a long time, and doesn’t take long to make. What more could a person want in life? Okay, maybe good weather—but if my weather forecast is anything to go by, that’s going to be just fine in the coming days, too.
Well, I’ve just wrapped up another productive study break. 🙂 I hope you really enjoy this dish, and to everyone taking exams, I wish you the very best of luck!!!

The Recipe
Ingredients: (for a large jar)
- 20 Brazil nuts
- 10 g walnuts
- 40 g cashews
- 30 g peanuts
- 15 g pumpkin seeds
- 30 g rosemary
- 3 g freeze-dried raspberries
- 20 g cranberries
- 30 g hazelnuts
Preparation: (5 minutes)
- If necessary, cut the nuts into smaller pieces.
- Mix all the ingredients together.
Tip:
You can buy freeze-dried raspberries at an organic grocery store if you’d like. They have a unique flavor and add an extra dimension to the dish. You can also leave them out and make the recipe without the freeze-dried raspberries.
